A good photograph can make something familiar feel worth looking at again.

My photography has grown through years of making pictures, trying things and learning to pay attention. I’ve developed my practice through hands-on experience and experimentation, working with professional camera equipment and subjects that keep me curious. North & Stone is a home for that work — and an invitation to make something new.

I’m based in Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland. My work moves between food and hospitality, pets, people and products, alongside a personal collection of places and details that have caught my eye.

I like photographs with a sense of character. A dish just before it reaches the table. A dog’s expression when something catches their attention. A portrait that feels like the person in front of the camera.
